(a) Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any provision of the Kenai Municipal Code by doing any act prohibited or declared to be unlawful thereby or declared to be an offense, or who shall fail to do any act required by such provision, or who shall fail to do any act when such provision declares such failure to be unlawful or to be an offense upon conviction of any provision of the Kenai Municipal Code shall be punished as follows:

(1) Violations-Up to a five hundred dollar ($500.00) fine.

(2) Attempt to Commit a Violation-Up to a two hundred fifty dollar ($250.00) fine.

(b) Civil penalties as provided for in the Kenai Municipal Code shall be assessed in an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00.)

(c) In addition to any fine or penalty prescribed by law, a defendant convicted of violating a municipal ordinance shall pay the surcharge required under AS 12.55.039 and 29.25.074.
