Upon separation during initial probation (first six (6) months for Police, Fire and Communication), accrued annual leave shall not be granted nor paid to employees in the classified service. In other separations, accrued leave shall be paid in a lump sum. The salary or hourly rate to be used in computing the cash payment shall be the rate which is being received by the employee on the date the resignation/separation is signed by the employee.
