(a) If the City Manager or designee determines that an abandoned vehicle impounded pursuant to this chapter has been scrapped, dismantled, or destroyed beyond repair as provided in applicable state law or if he or she determines that because of the age and condition of the vehicle it is no longer of significant value, he or she may dispose of it by crushing or other means of destruction upon the expiration of the thirty (30) day period required by KMC 12.25.060.

(b) The City may also dispose of Junk Vehicles at the written request of the registered owner of the vehicle or person in lawful possession or control of the vehicle. This written request shall be on a form prescribed by the City.
